This is a review of 2 Yankee Candle wax melts from Walmart for Spring 2023: Art in the Park and Twilight Tunes. They're $4.24 each.
Art in the Park
Enjoy the vibrant scents of an arts festival in the park, with notes of green apple, fragrant florals, and a base of smooth woods.
I can't figure out what I'm smelling. I'm getting some kind of floral and a tiny bit of fruit, maybe apple and/or watermelon. When first melting, there's a tiny bit of a bitter note, maybe champagne, but it smells a little "plastic-y". After melting for a half hour or so, the scent changes and it starts to take on an ammonia note that makes it smell like Windex glass cleaner! It also loses quite a bit of the floral notes and sweetness. So this scent is a big "no" for me!
Twilight Tunes
The sounds of live music drift across the festival at twilight, bringing scents of cardamom, cedarwood, aquamarine, and woody
A nice smoky scent with a sweet, fresh men's body wash note, and a bit of wood in the background. It's similar to a lot of other smoky men's cologne type scents that Yankee Candle has put out through the years. But I do like it! I'm also getting a barely detectable smidgen of nuttiness, although I'm not sure about that. Looking at the notes, the cardamom is the nutty note, but again, it's barely detectable.
