Yankee Candle Walmart Wax Melt Reviews - Spring 2024
January 18, 2024
This is a review of 5 new Yankee Candle wax melts from Walmart for Spring 2024: Aloe & Agave, Bahama Breeze, Desert Blooms, Moonlit Cove, Stargazing.
They cost $4.24 at Walmart as of the date of this review.
Aloe & Agave
The fragrances of aloe, tea leaves, and blue lotus create refreshing aromas of desert flora.
A savory, slightly salty scent with only a smidgen of sweetness. It's a cactus-y or sage type scent, and I think I'm also getting a barely detectable smidgen of tea and/or lemon verbena way, way in the background. I'm not really a fan of this scent.
Bahama Breeze
There's cool summer refreshment in this tropical blend of pineapple, grapefruit and mango. Top: Exotic Fruits, Pineapple, Passion Fruit, Grapefruit; Mid: Mango, Peach, Tropical Fruits; Base: Musk
A strong, thirst-quenching tropical drink scent that smells incredible. I'm getting pineapple, of course, but other fruits as well. It's sweet and tart, and super strong. I'm not usually a fan of pineapple-y scents, but I really like this one. Looking at the notes, I'm not getting any musk or perfumey notes at all.
Desert Blooms
Discover the beautiful scents of colorful blooms in the warm desert: notes of rose petals, saguaro cactus, and sage
I ADORE this scent! It smells like a combination of a super sweet, rich perfume, with a bit of baby powder. It smells almost exactly like the old
Sweet Nothings. It may in fact be the same scent, but if not, the differences are so subtle that I don't think most people will notice. But the notes are totally different (Sweet Nothings: cyclamen, lotus blossom, vanilla, powdery musk). I'm not getting sage or cactus at all, which would make this scent more savory or herbal. And it's not a rose scent, although I think I do detect a tiny bit of rose; it's just much sweeter than that.
Moonlit Cove
Slip away to a hidden cove where the moonlight sparkles on the water while notes of lemongrass, ginger, and woodsy botanicals enchant the senses.
A sweet, fresh, watery scent that might have a smidgen of lemon way in the background. I think I'm also getting a tiny bit of spa-type ginger (not gingerbread). It's quite nice, and different.
Stargazing
Enjoy stargazing into the endless night sky over the sand dunes, surrounded by notes of lavender, eucalyptus, and vanilla sugar
I don't know what I'm smelling, but I don't like it. It smells like clay with a bit of lavender, and it's not really sweet. Up close I'm getting a tiny bit of a nasal clearing effect, so maybe sage? Looking at the notes, I'm not getting vanilla or sugar at all.
