This scent is fruity, sweet (but not overly sweet) and only slightly tart (not quite as tart as most cranberry scents), like a combination of canned cranberry sauce and pomegranate (pomegranate smells a bit similar to black cherry and grape, but not quite as sweet, and with a little bit of tartness and a slight hint of a "wine" type note). No spicy notes like cinnamon. I'm also not getting vanilla, but I think I do get a hint of cassis, which is a type of currant; currant scents are soapy (I am getting a tiny bit of soapiness with this scent) and fig-like with a tiny bit of tartness, a hint of light wood, a smidgen of a perfumey note, and a smidgen of a berry note with hardly any sweetness. This scent seems to be around 60% cranberry, 30% pomegranate, and 10% cassis.
Because both Aldi and Threshold wax melts are made by Hanna's Candle, I assumed that both new cranberry scents, this Threshold Sugared Cranberries and Aldi Holiday Cranberry, would be dupes of each other. But they're not. This scent has a hint of tartness, but not the same vinegary/wine type tartness that the Aldi scent has, but it's also not as fruity or "full-bodied", and smells more like it has pomegranate in it. And although I like this scent on its own, it's not my favorite, and when sniffing it next to another cranberry type scent like Aldi Holiday Cranberry, this one smells more artificial and has a bit of "flatness" that could be the cassis.
