This is a review of Goose Creek Candle Wax Melts from May 2019. Goose Creek Candle wax melts and candles can be found on their website at goosecreekcandle.com, and at some stores like Gabe's and Tuesday Morning.
Fantastic fruity scent that smells mostly like blueberry, and maybe blue raspberry. It also has a little bit of a tangy note, but thankfully it doesn't smell exactly like yogurt, since that would be a bit too sour. It also has a tiny bit of a fruit scented skin cream note. I thought it might be the same as their Blueberry Cheesecake scent because of that tangy note, but I don't think it is (I no longer have the cheesecake scent to compare), because I didn't care for the cheesecake scent, but I love this scent!
This is a great scent, but it's not a bubble bath or even a fresh watery scent at all! It's a sour tropical fruit scent with grapefruit, yuzu, and maybe even a hint of zesty lemon. It might be a dupe of an older tropical scent, because I think I've smelled it before. It's sour and savory and a little zesty, without any sweetness at all. It doesn't sound so good based on my description, but it's actually really nice!
This is such an incredible and yummy scent! It's a super rich yellow cake scent with a strong creme fraiche note. I also smell strawberry, and perhaps a hint of blueberry and pear. It smells a bit like strawberry shortcake or a blueberry muffin, but not as fruity as most similar scents. It's not overly sweet, not caramely, and has no cookie type bakery notes. I love this scent!
A nice milky, buttery, nutty coconut scent that may have a smidgen of light wood in the background. It's different from other coconut scents in that it's not sweet at all. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell any floral or fresh watery notes. It's similar to Better Homes & Gardens Smoked Coconut Palm, but this scent is a little more milky and buttery, and Smoked Coconut Palm had a little bit of a smoky note that this scent doesn't have. I like them both!
Jungle Adventure
Top: Turquoise Rain, Jungle Greens; Mid: Dark Woods, Water Flower; Base: Island Breeze, Amber
This is nice green, natural, grassy scent with just a little floral sweetness (jasmine maybe), a hint of watery freshness, and a smidgen of coconut. I like it, but it has a little bit of a bug spray vibe.
A very nice soapy and slightly salty lemongrass scent. Most lemongrass scents smell more like lemon verbena, which has a slightly grassy, citronella note. With this scent, that note is more subtle. There may be a smidgen of a floral note in the background, like magnolia (which does have a lemony note), although this scent is not sweet. I really like this scent!! Looking at the notes, there's the magnolia. But interestingly, no lemon or lemongrass in the notes!
I had no idea what to expect from a scent named "Noah's Ark". I thought maybe a grassy hay type scent, but the description is, "Step aboard the ark. A truly magical adventure awaits", so I figured it's a sweet relaxing scent for a child's or baby's room. It's more of the latter, but not necessarily for a child. It's a wonderful perfumey scent with oriental spices and a hint of baby powder, and maybe a smidgen of lavender way in the background, and a little bit of ambery warmth. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell berries or any fruity notes. I really like this!
This is a slightly bitter, very slightly sour, orange scent with a little bit of grapefruit and maybe a hint of a light woodsy note. It's not a sweet or citrusy orange. It also has a little bit of a tropical note, and maybe a smidgen of coconut. Melted, more of the slightly sour light woodsy note comes out. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell lime or apple. It's similar to Michaels Mandarin Teak from Spring 2017 and Michaels White Tea Rose from Spring 2019 (the two Michaels scents are dupes of each other), but Orange Grove Tree is slightly more orangey and less sweet.
