This is a review of Big Lots (Living Colors) Tropical Wax Melts from May 2021.
Beach Bonfire
There are no smoky notes in this scent at all. It's more of a fruity floral with a bubble gum note as well as a metallic note I don't care for. I think it's similar to (if not the same as) Amazon Rainforest.
Coconut Water
On cold sniff this is a very nice, sweet, slightly warm scent of coconut, floral, and vanilla, with maybe a hint of fruit (not pineapple, I don't think, but could be something tropical). When melted though, it becomes more like a standard coconut scent with a smidgen of pineapple, and the warm, floral and vanilla notes disappear. Still nice, but I liked it better on cold sniff.
Crashing Waves
A nice fresh, watery scent with a peppery note and possibly a tiny bit of lavender. It would be a body wash type scent if it were sweeter; it's only barely sweet and might have a barely detectable smidgen of garden mint, but no cologney type notes. It smells very familiar and might be the same as (or similar to) Juniper Matcha, but I'm not sure since I no longer have that scent to compare.
Mango Passionfruit
This is indeed a tropical fruit scent like mango. It's sweet and kind of rich, with a little bit of a waxy note, but still very nice.
Pineapple Colada
A super sweet pineapple scent with a bit of coconut. Pretty standard pineapple and coconut blend, but this one has more pineapple and is very, very sweet and fruity. I'm not a fan of pineapple scents, but because it's so sweet I actually like this one.
Strawberry Daiquiri
A nice scent that smells like orange with maybe a bit of a pineapple note. Like a slightly tropical orange, but not as citrusy as the Sun-Soaked Citrus scent. I don't smell strawberry.
Sun-Soaked Citrus
A sweet, thirst-quenching orange scent, like orange juice, with maybe a smidgen of lemon. It's very nice and summery. It's different from Tangerine Burst, which is a super strong, fake, slightly harsh orange soda scent without the fizziness; THIS scent is sweeter and more "juicy".
Vanilla Hibiscus
A fruity floral. I don't know what kind of flower or fruit I'm smelling, but it has a little bit of a tropical vibe. Not really pineapple, maybe a hint of guava or mango? It's sweet but has a tiny bit of bitterness. I think I do detect a smidgen of vanilla way in the background, or actually I think it might be sandalwood. It's nice.
