Aldi Fall Wax Melt Reviews 2021
September 7, 2021
This is a review of the Aldi Fall 2021 wax melts (Huntington Home brand): Apple Cider Donuts, Coconut Pumpkin Macarons, Fall Breeze Crisp Leaves, and Pumpkin Anything. They are sold at Aldi for $1.69 each.
Aldi also came out with another, different set of fall scents a few weeks later (the first time they've come out with more than one collection of seasonal scents in the same season).
Apple Cider Donuts
A fantastic combination of cloves, brown sugar and/or molasses, apple, and cinnamon. It could also have a smidgen of nutmeg and ginger. I'd say like 45% cloves, 35% brown sugar/molasses, 10% apple, and 10% cinnamon (so it's not as apple-y as the scent name would imply). I don't get any bakery or donutty notes at all. It's super, super sweet, much sweeter than most similar scents. I love it!
Coconut Pumpkin Macarons
On cold sniff I smell almond with a little bit of pumpkin spice (nutmeg and a hint of cinnamon), but hard to tell because it's quite weak on cold sniff. Melted, however, no almond, and it's just pumpkin spice with a milky vanilla note, and maybe a smidgen of coconut. I would have liked more coconut and less pumpkin spice.
Fall Breeze Crisp Leaves
This is the same scent as
Crisp Weather from last October (I just compared them side by side). It's spruce (not a biting pine) with a fresh, watery, note with a hint of nuttiness or brown leaves, possibly a smidgen of eucalyptus (but no nasal clearing effects), and a barely detectable smidgen of sweetness. It's a fantastic, chilly weather scent!
#Pumpkin Everything
A cinnamony, super sweet pumpkin filling scent that smells similar to the Apple Cider Donuts scent but even sweeter, with nutmeg, more cinnamon, and no apple note. It's an equal combination of cloves, cinnamon, brown sugar and/or molasses, and nutmeg, in that order. It's way sweeter than real pumpkin pie filling, almost nauseatingly so. I'm not a fan of cinnamony scents, but because this one is so sweet, I love it!
